Charlottesville Police Department launches new volunteer corps to strengthen community connections
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Charlottesville Police Department (CPD) is proud to announce the launch of the Charlottesville Police Department Volunteer Corps, an initiative designed to strengthen community relationships, encourage shared responsibility, and support public safety through meaningful non-enforcement engagement.
Led by Program Assistant Francesca G. Diggs, the CPD Volunteer Corps invites community members, civic groups, faith-based organizations, and local businesses to collaborate with the department in activities that promote trust and contribute to a safer, more connected Charlottesville.
