"This is exactly the kind of event that makes Charlottesville special. When community organizations, local talent, and public safety come together around something positive, that's what makes our neighborhoods stronger." — Mike Kochis, Chief of Police
The Fourth of July is about more than fireworks and celebration—it’s about community. For five years, the Tonsler League has been bringing people together, and this event represents the very best of what Charlottesville can be. We’re excited to partner with the Charlottesville Police Department, DJ Runway, and others to create a day centered around family, fun, and fellowship. In addition to the fireworks, fans will get to see a special All-Star matchup between the Tonsler League and Richmond’s OTH League, along with a Jr. Tonsler League showcase featuring some of our future stars. We want the entire community to come out, pack the park, support our players, and enjoy a safe and memorable Fourth of July together. Basketball may bring us together, but community is what keeps us together.
— Dr. Wes Bellamy, Commissioner, Tonsler League
