The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is circulating still images taken from surveillance equipment on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, showing two men who allegedly stole $845 worth of goods from the Locust Grove Walmart.
Orange County authorities are searching for two men they say are responsible for stealing more than $800 worth of goods from the Locust Grove Walmart — and the attempted theft of another $1,000 worth of goods from the store.
The two men, whose identities are not known, entered the store around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 and proceeded to steal $845 worth of electronics, sporting goods, clothes and other items, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
“They left unbagged items in a shopping cart and loaded them into the trunk of [a] vehicle,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement issued Tuesday.
The two men returned to the scene the following day and made another go at stealing $1,000 worth of speakers and more, the sheriff’s office said. That scheme was apparently less than successful as the sheriff’s office described it only as an “attempt” and not a theft.

“It appears they are using the apparel sections to conceal items before walking out separately to load their vehicle,” the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office has been circulating still images taken from nearby surveillance equipment that purportedly shows the two men and their getaway vehicle: a dark Ford Focus with a Virginia-registered license plate reading THY-4298.
