A University of Virginia alumnus is bringing wraparound residential support for seniors to Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.
Tyler Saeli has designated a site in Ivy just west of Charlottesville near Duner’s Restaurant as the main office for his local franchise of Right at Home, a Omaha, Nebraska-based company that offers an array of services for the elderly, including transportation, nutrition, medical care, cleaning and companion care.
Providing in-home, quality care is especially beneficial, according to Saeli, as most individuals are more comfortable in their own homes.
“As they enter their senior years, it is important for them to be in their familiar surroundings and most people are happier and healthier when aging at home,” he said in a statement announcing the news. “Right at Home augments people’s lifestyles with custom-designed programs that fill in gaps and provide essential services.”

The new headquarters for the Charlottesville-area Right at Home franchise is located at 4282 Ivy Road just west of the city.
Saeli is bringing plenty of experience working with health and senior care businesses to Right at Home after years with PAR Capital Management, Albemarle Management and North Tide Capital.
His new franchise will serve customers in the greater Charlottesville area as well as the greater Waynesboro, Staunton and Harrisonburg areas in the neighboring Shenandoah Valley.

To support the new network of care, Right at Home plans to hire roughly 100 caregivers across the region over the next few months in addition to 10 personnel to staff the Charlottesville-area office at 4282 Ivy Road.
With more than 700 locations across the globe, Right at Home is one of the largest residential care franchises. Despite its size, the company places an emphasis on finding independent local owners, such as Saeli, for all franchises.
In order to begin breaking into the Central Virginia and Shenandoah Valley markets, Saeli needed to find a good base, which is where Sam Orr, executive vice president of MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, came in. Mackenzie, which also recently established a Charlottesville-area office, assisted Saeli in acquiring the Ivy Road space that was converted from a single-family residence, Orr said.
“[Right at Home] has considerable room to grow and the location allows immediate access throughout the greater Charlottesville region,” Orr said in a statement. “This combination will support the franchise’s mission to noticeably improve the quality of lives served by the concept in our great community.”
