Charlottesville will reopen the renovated Forest Hills Park on May 15.

The extensive project replaced the former wading pool with a sprayground and added permanent restrooms, new playgrounds and a basketball court, among other things.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the park’s reopening at 2 p.m. May 15, and the sprayground will be open to the public afterward. Using the new feature is free, and it will be open from mid-May through September every year.

Forest Hills Park is located on Forest Hills Avenue. More information about the park or the renovation project can be obtained by calling 970-3260.
