PUBLIC NOTICE The Greene County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 7:30 p.m. Public participation will be available remotely via telephone and/or electronic means. Detailed instructions for the remote participation will be provided on the Greene County Website (www.greenecountyva.gov) prior to the public hearing. This hearing will be hosted live to consider the following: THROUGH TRUCK RESTRICTION ON ROUTE 609 (FREDERICKSBURG ROAD) FROM THE INTERSECTION WITH US 33 SPOTSWOOD TRAIL TO THE INTERSECTION WITH US 29 SEMINOLE TRAIL. To submit a request to the Virginia Department of Transportation to place a Through Truck Restriction or prohibition on Route 609 (Fredericksburg Road) from the intersection with US 33 Spotswood Trail to the intersection with US 29 Seminole Trail pursuant to §46.2-809. Code of Virginia (1950, as amended). PROPOSED TRUCK RESTRICTION. Route 609 (Fredericksburg Road) from the intersection with US 33 Spotswood Trail to the intersection with US 29 Seminole Trail. A distance of 4 miles. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE. US 33 East Spotswood Trail to US 29 North Seminole Trail. A distance of 7.2 miles. A copy of explanatory material may be viewed at the County Administrator's Office, County Administration Building, 40 Celt Road, Stanardsville, VA between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or online at www.greenecountyva.gov.
