Details for Notice of Public Hearing Town of Scottsville, Virginia Notice is

Notice of Public Hearing Town of Scottsville, Virginia Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Scottsville will hold several public hearings at their regular meeting on Monday, April 19, at 7pm at the town office, 401 Valley Street. The first public hearing concerns a special use permit at 501 Valley Street, owned by Mr. Heinz Gadient. The permit is for ground-floor residential use in a commercial zone. The property previously had this permit with a five-year expiration, and the applicant requests renewal with no expiration. The second public hearing concerns an Ordinance of Vacation. The Town holds a 20-foot right-of-way for Clements Street between Valley and Harrison Street. No street was ever built. The proposed ordinance would abandon the right-of-way, giving the land to adjacent property owners. Any person wishing to address the Town Council is welcome to attend the public hearing. Under the Town's Continuity of Government Ordinance, the meeting will have options to participate online or by phone. Upon request, the Town will make reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities. Detailed documents are posted at and are also available at the town office during business hours and by calling the town office at 434-286-9267. Thomas Unsworth, Town Clerk
