Charlottesville Rental Relief Program City of Charlottesville residents may qualify if: Applicant is 65 years of age or older or is permanently and totally disabled. Has paid rent for dwelling during the grant year. Dwelling is the applicant's sole (only) dwelling. Combined yearly income of applicants and all relatives living in the same dwelling is no more than $50,000. Net combined financial worth is no more than $125,000. Applicant must reside in the City of Charlottesville on December 31st of the grant year. Applications will be accepted March 1, 2021 through May 3, 2021 Important Announcement Relating to COVID-19 To minimize the risk of COVID-19 exposure to applicants and staff, applicants who were approved for this program in 2020 and want to re-apply for 2021 may elect to do so using last year's income and net worth data. If you wish to apply using calendar year 2020 rent, income, and net worth documentation you may apply in person and provide a valid ID. Due to COVID-19, in person applications must be filed by SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT ONLY Monday Thursday 9am 4pm.
